The Investor Temporary Resident Visa (officially: visa de residencia temporal inversionista) is a popular option for individuals looking to invest and reside in Ecuador. With this visa, you can stay in Ecuador for two years. After twenty-one months of holding this visa, you can apply for a Permanent Resident Visa.
To qualify for this visa, you must make an investment of at least $47,000 (as of 2025) in an approved financial instrument, such as a certificate of deposit, real estate, or a business in Ecuador.
