Traveling Abroad
What You Need to Know About Leaving Ecuador as an Ecuadorian Resident
- Bring a copy of your visa: Whether you hold a permanent or temporary Ecuadorian resident visa, make sure to carry a copy of it when you leave the country. You'll need to show it at the airport or border.
- Traveling with kids? Special permissions are required: If a child is an Ecuadorian resident, they can't leave the country without permission from both parents. If only one parent is traveling with the child, they'll need to provide written consent from the other parent. And don’t forget—this permission must be notarized.
