MINTUR Zone 6 in Cuenca enforces regulations on short-term rentals

The Ministerio de Turismo (MINTUR) Zone 6 in Cuenca has announced that it is conducting operations to enforce existing regulations for hosts offering lodging on digital platforms such as Airbnb. These controls, carried out in coordination with the Municipality of Cuenca and the Policía Nacional, aim to ensure that all such accommodations are compliant. MINTUR specifies that these properties must obtain registration as tourist lodgings within residential areas.
