Cuenca Sightseeing Tour Save
Cuenca's double-decker sightseeing buses enable you to see more than Cuenca's historic district.
Tours
You can choose from two different tours to see Cuenca. During both tours, you will learn about Cuenca's history, neighborhoods and architecture.
1. Southern tour (to Turi)
The southern tour is by far the most popular. This tour brings you to Turi, where you can visit the Turi Viewpoint, adventure park El Columpio de Turi, restaurants, souvenir shops, and the church of Turi. On its way back, the bus will run over the Avenida Loja, a street with many historical houses.
2. Northern tour (to Parque La Libertad)
The northern tour first goes to the museum and Panama hat maker Homero Ortega. Here you can learn how Panama hats are made. Homero Ortega is one of the largest exporters of Panama hats. After visiting the museum, the double-decker bus will bring you to Parque La Libertad. In Parque La Libertad you can climb a modern tower that offers a good view over Cuenca's historic center. This tower also has an elevator.
Tours in English
The southern tour (to Turi) uses yellow buses and red buses. If you take a yellow bus, the language that is spoken on the bus will be English. The yellow buses always depart 30 minutes after the hour. The red buses depart every hour on the hour and only offer information in Spanish.
The languages spoken at the northern tour are English and Spanish at the same time.
