Exit impediments

When you have an exit impediment you're not allowed to leave Ecuador. This can be the case when you have a debt to the government or a private person or organization. The official name is 'Impedimento de salida del país'. You can check whether this is the case on this website: Impedimento de salida del país. It's also visible on the certificate of migratory movements.

Before a person gets this status there is usually a legal procedure that is called the 'coactiva'.
