Places to avoid
During the day, you should watch out for suspicious persons when walking along the Tomebamba river. It's best to walk with two people or to immediately move to the road along the river as soon as you notice a suspicious person. At night, it's best to avoid walking along the river. After 10 pm, it's also best to avoid the area near the gasoline station in the east of the neighborhood because homeless people wander around here after 10 pm.
Police stations
The neighborhood has its own police station at the Avenida de los Cerezos. You can find another nearby police station at the Avenida de las Américas next to the Feria Libre market.
